Common Platform Terminology
Account Approval
The review process used to confirm that a buyer or seller account meets AgriCart’s requirements before access is granted to certain marketplace features.
Approved Seller
A supplier that has been reviewed and accepted to sell products or services through AgriCart.
Backorder
A product that is temporarily unavailable for immediate shipment but can still be ordered for future delivery.
Buyer Account
A registered account used by qualified agricultural businesses, producers, dealerships, or purchasing teams to access marketplace features and place orders.
Buyer Carrier
A shipping option where the buyer arranges their own transportation or pickup of the purchased goods.
Cart
The area of the marketplace where selected items are collected before checkout or quote submission.
Category
A product grouping used to organize listings on the marketplace, such as Swine, Poultry, Grain, Technology, Building Materials, Irrigation, or Machinery.
Checkout
The process of confirming an order, entering required details, selecting freight preferences, and submitting the purchase request or transaction.
Custom Quote
A pricing or supply proposal prepared for a specific product, quantity, project, or delivery requirement that is not suitable for standard checkout.
Freight
The transportation of goods from the supplier to the buyer, whether arranged by the supplier, the buyer, or AgriCart.
Inventory Availability
The current stock status of a product, which may indicate whether it is in stock, limited, built to order, or subject to lead time.
Lead Time
The estimated time required for a supplier to prepare, manufacture, or ship a product after the order is placed.
Marketplace
An online platform that connects approved buyers and approved sellers to support product discovery, quoting, ordering, and commercial transactions.
Member Login
The secure login area used by approved users to access account-based marketplace functions.
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
The smallest quantity of a product that a supplier is willing to sell in a single order.
Order Confirmation
The notice that confirms an order or order request has been received and accepted for processing, subject to applicable terms.
Order Documentation
The commercial records that support a transaction, such as quotes, order confirmations, invoices, shipping documents, and related communications.
PO or Purchase Order
A formal document issued by a buyer to confirm the products, quantities, pricing, and terms being ordered.
Pricing Visibility
The level of pricing access available to a user account. Some pricing or supplier details may only be available to approved and logged-in users.
Product Listing
A product page or entry that includes essential information such as description, specifications, availability, and ordering details.
Quote
A supplier’s or marketplace-supported pricing response based on the requested product, quantity, and commercial terms.
Request a Quote
A workflow used when pricing, freight, quantity, specifications, or availability need to be confirmed before an order can proceed.
Seller Application
The submission completed by a supplier that wishes to join AgriCart as an approved seller.
Seller Dashboard
The account area where sellers may manage listings, review activity, and support marketplace operations, depending on their access level.
Ship via AgriCart
A freight option where AgriCart helps coordinate shipping after checkout, with freight charges confirmed separately where applicable.
Ship via Supplier
A freight option where the supplier coordinates shipping after checkout, with freight charges confirmed separately where applicable.
SKU
Stock keeping unit. A code used to identify a specific product or variation for inventory and ordering purposes.
Stock Status
A product availability indicator such as in stock, low stock, out of stock, or available on request.
Terms of Sale
The commercial conditions that apply to a transaction, including payment terms, freight responsibility, returns, warranties, and related obligations.
Tracking Information
Shipment details provided after dispatch so the buyer can monitor delivery progress.
