AgriCart respects the privacy of buyers, sellers, suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, farm businesses, and other users of our marketplace. This Privacy Policy explains how AgriCart collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when users access our website, create an account, submit information, request a quote, place an order, list products, communicate with us, or otherwise use the AgriCart platform.
AgriCart is a business-to-business marketplace. Although the platform is intended for business use, some information we collect may identify individual users, representatives, employees, contractors, or contacts associated with a business or organization.
By using AgriCart, you acknowledge that AgriCart may collect, use, disclose, and retain information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you use AgriCart on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to provide information on behalf of that business or organization.
This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws and, where applicable, privacy requirements in other jurisdictions where AgriCart users or service providers are located.
Information We Collect
AgriCart may collect information needed to operate a business-to-business marketplace, including names, job titles, business names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing addresses, shipping addresses, account credentials, user roles, buyer or seller profile information, supplier information, dealership information, farm business information, tax information, payment-related information, order history, quote requests, invoices, settlement information, pricing group information, product listing information, communications, support requests, and platform usage information.
We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring website, session activity, cookies, analytics data, log files, and other information about how users interact with the platform.
AgriCart may collect information directly from users, from businesses or organizations that authorize users to access the platform, from marketplace participants involved in transactions, and from service providers that support platform operations.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary authority, consent, or other lawful basis to provide information to AgriCart, including information about employees, representatives, contractors, delivery contacts, billing contacts, or other individuals associated with their business or organization.
How We Use Information
AgriCart uses information for reasonable marketplace, business, legal, security, and operational purposes, including to create, manage, and verify user accounts; verify buyer, seller, supplier, dealer, or business eligibility; process quote requests, product inquiries, orders, payments, settlements, refunds, and transaction records; and support marketplace communications between buyers, sellers, suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, and other participants.
AgriCart may also use information to arrange or support fulfillment, delivery, shipping, warranty matters, product support, returns, and dispute resolution; provide customer support, onboarding, account administration, and service notices; maintain platform security; prevent fraud; investigate misuse; enforce AgriCart’s agreements and policies; improve marketplace functionality, product categories, user experience, analytics, reporting, and business operations; and comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
AgriCart may also use business contact information to send platform updates, supplier announcements, category information, onboarding communications, service notices, promotional communications, and other business-related communications.
AgriCart will send marketing or promotional electronic messages only where permitted by applicable law. Users may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe option in those messages or by contacting AgriCart. AgriCart may still send transactional, account, legal, security, quote, order, or service-related communications where necessary or permitted.
Payment Information
AgriCart may use third-party payment processors or financial service providers to support payment processing, settlement, refunds, and related transaction services.
AgriCart may receive limited payment-related information, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, billing details, settlement information, and partial payment-card or account information where applicable. Unless expressly stated at the time of collection, AgriCart does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Payment processors and financial service providers may process information under their own terms, privacy policies, and legal obligations.
Cookies and Analytics
AgriCart may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, log files, and similar technologies to operate the website and platform, remember user preferences, support account security, improve platform performance, understand usage patterns, detect fraud, and assist with marketplace functionality.
AgriCart may use different types of cookies, including essential cookies, preference cookies, analytics cookies, security cookies, and, where applicable, marketing or advertising cookies.
Users may be able to control certain cookie settings through their browser or device settings and, where available, through cookie preference tools provided on the platform. Disabling cookies may affect the availability or functionality of some platform features.

AgriCart may use third-party services to support payment processing, shipping, tax calculation, accounting integration, email communications, analytics, hosting, security, customer support, fraud prevention, and other business functions.
Where service providers process personal information on AgriCart’s behalf, AgriCart takes reasonable steps to require them to protect the information and use it only for the services they provide to AgriCart, subject to applicable law and the provider’s role.
Some third-party providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. AgriCart is not responsible for the privacy practices, security practices, or content of third-party websites or services that are not controlled by AgriCart.
International and Cross-Border Processing
AgriCart is based in Canada, but users, marketplace participants, service providers, technology platforms, payment processors, and business systems may be located in Canada, the United States, Europe, or other jurisdictions.
As a result, information may be processed, stored, or accessed outside the user’s province, state, or country. When information is processed or stored in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement, regulators, or government authorities.
AgriCart takes reasonable steps to use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, which may include contractual, technical, administrative, and organizational measures.
How Information Is Shared
AgriCart may share information where reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, complete transactions, provide support, maintain security, or comply with legal and business requirements.
Information may be shared with buyers, sellers, suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, and other marketplace participants; payment processors, financial institutions, settlement providers, and fraud-prevention providers; shipping, logistics, delivery, warehouse, or fulfillment providers; tax calculation, accounting, invoicing, analytics, hosting, email, customer support, and technology service providers; professional advisors, insurers, auditors, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or government authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary; and successors or potential successors in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, restructuring, sale, or transfer of assets.
For example, buyer information may be shared with sellers or suppliers to evaluate quote requests, process orders, arrange shipping, provide invoices, support warranty matters, respond to product inquiries, manage returns, and resolve transaction issues. Seller or supplier information may be shared with buyers where needed to support marketplace transactions and communications.
Marketplace participants may independently collect, use, retain, and disclose information they receive through AgriCart for their own business, legal, tax, warranty, fulfillment, support, and compliance purposes. AgriCart is not responsible for the privacy practices of buyers, sellers, suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, or other marketplace participants when they use information outside AgriCart’s control.
Data Security
AgriCart uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
However, no website, marketplace, database, or electronic communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and notifying AgriCart if they believe their account has been accessed without authorization.
If AgriCart becomes aware of a security incident involving personal information, AgriCart will assess and respond to the incident in accordance with applicable legal requirements, which may include notifying affected individuals, businesses, regulators, or other parties where required.
Data Retention and De-Identified Information
AgriCart retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the marketplace, maintain business records, complete transactions, provide support, resolve disputes, comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business purposes.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, the nature of the user’s relationship with AgriCart, transaction history, legal or accounting requirements, dispute risks, security needs, and backup or archival practices.
When information is no longer required, AgriCart may delete, anonymize, aggregate, or securely retain it in accordance with applicable legal, accounting, operational, and backup requirements.
AgriCart may create, use, and disclose aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information for business, analytics, reporting, platform improvement, supplier insights, marketplace trends, security, and other lawful purposes, provided the information does not identify an individual.
User Choices and Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable legal, contractual, and operational limitations, users may contact AgriCart to request access to personal information AgriCart holds about them, request correction or updates, withdraw consent to certain uses, unsubscribe from marketing communications, or ask questions about AgriCart’s privacy practices.
AgriCart may need to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request before responding. In some cases, AgriCart may be unable to fulfill a request in whole or in part, including where information must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, transactional, backup, or marketplace-integrity purposes.
Users located in certain jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. AgriCart will respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law.
Users may contact AgriCart if they have a privacy concern or complaint. AgriCart will review privacy complaints and respond as required by applicable law.
Business Contact Information and Children’s Privacy
AgriCart is a business-to-business marketplace. Much of the information collected through the platform may relate to business users, business accounts, supplier contacts, dealership contacts, purchasing teams, seller representatives, and other business representatives.
Where business contact information is collected, AgriCart may use it for reasonable marketplace, transaction, account, onboarding, supplier, buyer, service, and business communication purposes.
AgriCart is intended for business users and is not directed to children or minors. Users must have the authority and legal capacity to use the platform on behalf of themselves or the applicable business or organization.
AgriCart does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If AgriCart becomes aware that information has been collected from a child without appropriate authorization, AgriCart may take reasonable steps to delete or restrict that information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
AgriCart may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, marketplace operations, legal requirements, technology providers, or business practices.
Updated versions will be posted on the platform with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of AgriCart after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means the user accepts the updated policy. If changes are material, AgriCart may provide additional notice where required or appropriate.
