Our Story

AgriCart was born from years of hands-on experience in agricultural equipment, buildings and technology. Our founders grew up on farms, worked with large integrators and lead agribusinesses within the industry. They built GrainTracker to revolutionize grain management and CleanTrace to transform livestock traceability. Along the way, they saw a gap: suppliers and dealers needed a better way to connect, order, and do business together.

AgriCart is the answer — a purpose-built B2B marketplace that brings the agricultural equipment and supply industry together on one platform. We combine deep industry knowledge with modern technology to make wholesale purchasing simpler, faster, and more transparent.

Meet the Team

Ellery Burton

President

Raised on a mixed farm in central Manitoba, Canada, Ellery knows that agriculture runs on trust, timing, and practical problem-solving. He brings over 20 years of leadership and engineering experience across agriculture, manufacturing, and global supply chains. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Royal Military College of Canada and a CPIM designation, Ellery has led large-scale procurement operations and major capital projects throughout his military and civilian career. He co-founded AgriCart to replace fragmented, error-prone purchasing with a marketplace built to simplify and improve the movement of goods between agricultural buyers and sellers.

Carl Esau

Vice President

Carl grew up in southern Manitoba, Canada, where hands-on experience in livestock production gave him a ground-level understanding of agriculture's real operational challenges. He has nearly 20 years of experience in livestock genetics, feed nutrition and equipment supply. Over his career, he has worked alongside producers, integrators, manufacturers, and agricultural technology providers worldwide, and consistently saw the same problem: too much time lost navigating disconnected systems and unclear pricing. That insight led him to co-found AgriCart. Carl's focus is building a marketplace that's practical, transparent, and rooted in the relationships and trust that agriculture depends on.
